An annual report published on April 29, 2022 by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence disclosed that the FBI conducted as many as 3.4 million searches of U.S. data that had been previously collected by the National Security Agency. Read more via the Wall Street Journal here.

​This is why Congress needs to reform Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act when this measure comes up for reauthorization in 2023.
